I deal with lots of relationship problems either individually or as a couple. One of the factors that are common to every relationship problem is a lack of communication. I am always amazed at how little people who share their lives together manage to talk about anything of importance. If they do manage to speak to each other it only seems to revolve around who is picking the kids up and what time will you be home?
Learning to communicate is a skill that needs practicing and I start clients off by giving them the following list of questions to discuss together. It’s always interesting to hear how surprised people are at some of the answers they get!
