Testimonials

Wendy came highly recommended from a family friend. I have since recommended Wendy to others who also highly rate the service. I would have no hesitation to further recommend Wendy to family, friends and colleagues.

I found the sessions very enlightening, I quickly understood my behaviour patterns and how these were having an effect on my life and was able to identify how to change this and therefore prevent the problem from recurring.

Wendy is friendly and good humoured, creating a relaxing environment conducive to frank and open discussions.

Yes, I did compare prices at the beginning and Wendy is very competitive, which makes the therapy affordable. She isn't a money grabbing therapist and will only ask to see you when she thinks you need to come back, rather than it always being every week. If anything she had to wean me off my therapy as I enjoyed our sessions so much!

I have recommended Wendy to a number of people for various different reasons and the feedback has always been the same...she is truly wonderful at what she does, which is essentially changing people's lives emotionally and often setting them free for the first time in their lives...everyone needs a Wendy!

Wendy Digman truly changed my life. I started seeing her with crippling panic attacks, anxiety and self esteem issues and she really did help me to change my life (I was also on medication too, but I had allowed myself to get to the stage where I couldn't function, so medication just dulled the symptoms enough for me to function, but the therapy helped me in the long term)... Her friendly, genuine and caring demeanour made the sessions so much easier, as with any therapy it is as much about the person than the methods they are delivering...I had seen other therapists before who I didn't feel totally comfortable or confident with, so Wendy was a breath of fresh air. I felt I could really open up, which in turn allowed her to help me to the best of her ability. I totally trust Wendy, her judgement, evaluation of my problems and the methods she thought would best help me. After my initial 6 month treatment period was completed, I still felt comfortable about going back to see Wendy if I felt a bit emotionally wobbly and Wendy was always welcoming and reassuring and after one session I would be back on track again and feeling so much better...3 years on I know if I ever felt I wasn't coping with things (even after using the CBT methods), I could come back to see Wendy without feeling embarrassed (with any mental health issues, it is so important to have that support if you need it). Today, I may not be perfect and totally at one with myself, but I am comfortable in my our skin and I am convinced it is the secret of a lot of my success as I don't let anyone or thing send in into the same spin that I use to...it is all about how you compute things, which is what Wendy helps you with...the method helps you deal with your today feelings and issues as well as stuff that happened in the past... very strange as you don't even know it's happening and then all of a sudden the knot in your stomach, the bitterness and pain you may have towards things, somehow slowly disappears and you feel as light as a feather for the first time in your life!

Once you get to that point, future feelings and situations don't seem to get to you in the same way and you are able to deal with things differently. Don't get me wrong you still feel all the normal emotions but the bad ones don't seem to stay with you in the same unhealthy way - it isn't a magic pill or spell, you just have to remember the processes you are taught by Wendy and you react and deal with things in the right way, which is so liberating!

From the first session to the last I knew that everything I said was being listened to and a reason and explanation and way forward would be given.

I was given various tools and reading material to follow and I feel that these helped me gain confidence and enabled me to move forward without Wendy.

A very important aspect of the Wendy's therapy is you can e-mail her or call anytime and you receive a response which is so important at times. At the same time you know that you are going to get better and less reliant on the sessions too.

I have already passed on 4 recommendations who have all benefitted greatly from the experience. We all need to have objectivity and direction in our lives and Wendy's sessions give you all of that. Wendy doesn't just listen and go over the past but she advises on and helps you to make plans for the future. To put it crudely, Wendy sticks her neck out and challenges you and tells you how she sees it but she then inspires you and makes you really believe that you can move forward.

I think that I have covered all of the positive aspects of Wendy's sessions so to summarise; Wendy is a fantastic listener who gains your confidence immediately. Her knowledge of her subject and passion for her client's heath is obvious and you feel that your recovery is very important to her. Sessions are always booked by you, there is no minimum amount of sessions you are advised to take and it is very clear that Wendy wants you to go away and practice and understand how to live independent of the sessions.

If you are currently experiencing difficulties in your life and you can't rationalise things and can't seem to see a way forward into a better place then I would urge you to seek Wendy's help.

Yes definitely, I have done in fact. I have massively benefited from my sessions with Wendy and I think other people could too. She is not the stereotypical psychologist, people have preconceived ideas about Freudian type psychotherapists and I think Wendy breaks this mould and makes counselling into something tangible.

Before I came to Wendy, I had no idea what was wrong with me, it was a huge relief to know that I was just suffering from anxiety and nothing more than that. She explained that 1 in 4 people have suffered from some kind of anxiety/ depression in their lives and this fact alone made me think it was not just me then.

I have enjoyed all aspects of our work- talking things through, reading work sheets at home, keeping diaries and reading books recommended by Wendy. I have made massive progress over the past few weeks, am a lot less anxious and can finally see a light at the end of the tunnel.

I wish other people would look beyond the stigma of mental health problems and the role of psychologists and seek help for their problems. By making the decision to speak to a professional you are already a step on the ladder to recovery.

Talking through my issues with such a genuine, caring and talented therapist. The CBT methods Wendy gave me to deal with my issues and how easy it was to make progress under Wendy's care, I used to bounce out of every session feeling I could take on the world. Also Wendy's reassurance that I actually wasn't bonkers and explaining my condition to me (something my GP never did). She also explained why I felt the way I did and that it was all fixable...!
